Sucession is Everywhere

Succession doesn’t happen only through the talent management at organizations.  I personally experienced that succession can happen anywhere as long as you have something to offer; from senior members in society to juniors, from someone who has more knowledge to someone who has less, and from someone who cares to give to someone who cares to receive.  Everyone has a chance and a choice to succeed what they want to become.  Those who can create them are true leaders.

Solo Plus Soars Higher into Year 2

Dear Brave Adventurers,

“Because you are brave, I can be brave” is what I have truly begun to believe.  Soloists often think that “I have to do it myself” and I recall there were many occasions I would often think this way particulary in the years of a leader.  Don’t forget because there are people who look out for you for direction, who look up to your decision and who go for an extra mile for you, you are able to lead.  If there is no one behind you, you are not a leader.  So even for Soloists, there are times you choose to not be a solo or be alone.

My second year resolution is this; I go out to meet soloists and create a cross-“whatever team”.  And I have already created one.  A team of soloists, cross-gender-age-nationality-industry team but truly  based on friendship, respect, diversity and openness.  Our principles are simple; no one judges others, and all conversations are respected, and no one is senior nor junior to each other.  We are on par in who we are.
